Favourite Episodes (Monocle Wasp)

This will be my first official posting on a topic in this group and I'm very excited because it is about something I'm very passionate about, television. Now I have watched A LOT of television, I credit it for a lot of the information I know in life. In celebration of television I'm going to talk about some of my favourite episodes from some shows I love. I'll only be covering one every so often so that they get the attention they deserve. Anyway enough of the preliminaries, here we go:

Show: Supernatural

Episode: 5x08 Changing Channels

Ranking: #1 Episode of all time

Ok, it is hard to articulate why this is without question my favourite episode of any show, EVER. The basic concept is that Sam and Dean become stuck in TV land courtesy of the Trickster. This allows for there to be impersonations of Greys Anatomy, CSI (mostly Miami), a Japanese game show, a commercials for a herpes treatment and Knightrider.
I can't pick whether I love it because it has perfectly captured the essence of Grey Anatomy with the music and the emotional outbursts all relating to the borderline incestual relationships, the tandem bike ride between Sam and Dean, the cheesy sitcom song and following jokes, the line "Because I swore part of what makes Dr. Sexy sexy, is the fact that he wears cowboy boots. Not tennis shoes!".
Whether or not you are a Supernatural fan (not that I understand being that type of person at all) you should give this episode a watch, that get so many things absolutely spot on. Here are some youtube clips of my favourite parts:

This is the opening credits that follow the typical sitcom style, I mean the lyrics are just amazing!

Dr Sexy- Sexy, BECAUSE HE WEARS COWBOY  BOOTS!
Puniliciousness courtesy of their portrayal of CSI: Miami, I mean who wears sunglasses at night!

I want to put more but that would essentially be the whole episode and that would be no good. But these are just a few reasons that Changing Channels is my favourite episode of any show EVER.

Thanks for reading!
